The Silky Oaks Opp Shop supports the local community by selling a wide range of clothing from just $1, homewares, manchester, toys, books, jewellery, limited electrical items, CDs/DVDs/Vinyl records and small furniture.

We frequently receive generous donations of stock from the community,  and we are fortunate to have an amazing team of volunteers who work tirelessly to sort, create and maintain our vibrant Opp Shop.

We have volunteering opportunities available now. Please click here for more information.

Donation Responsibility

When planning to donate items, we ask that you kindly give each item the ‘friend’ test. Please don’t consider donating items to a charity that you would not proudly pass onto a friend. Not-for-profit organisations are not meant to be a drop ground for items that are considered to be more rubbish than pre-loved. If we are unable to sell it, we have to dump it at extra costs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

One thing that really impressed me at the Opp Shop was the quality of the items available. Despite being second-hand, I found many items in excellent condition or near new.

It was evident that the shop takes pride in their collection and ensuring quality in the items that are for sale.

Olive – Manly West

Not only did I find great deals on clothing and accessories, but I also stumbled upon some unique and vintage pieces. It was like going on a treasure hunt, uncovering hidden gems at every turn. The staff members were friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience enjoyable.

Amy - Morningside
Wonderful to see second-hand at affordable prices! The items were priced reasonably, making it accessible for anyone looking for budget-friendly shopping options. I would highly recommend paying a visit if looking for a bargain, enjoy thrifting or simply want to support a good local cause giving back to the community.
